     Here is a great Psalm that my Dad is having us memorize.  It is kind of long but it is great for memorizing. 
    
I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will make music.  I will ponder the way that is blameless.  Oh when will you come to me?  I will walk with integrity of heart within my house; I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless.  I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.  A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil.  Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy.  Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart  I will not endure.  I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me.  No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes.  Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all evildoers from the city of the Lord.  Psalm 101 esv

     Here is a chapter of the Bible I think is great to memorize.  I just did.    

Psalm chapter 3 esv

O Lord, how many are my foes!  Many are rising against me; many are saying of my soul, there is no salvation for him in God.  But you, O Lord are a shield about me, my glory and the lifter of my head.  I cried aloud to the Lord, and he answered me out of his holy hill.  I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.  I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.  Arise O Lord!   Save me, O my God!  For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.  Salvation belongs to the Lord;  your blessings be on your people.

     Here is a verse I am memorizing this week.  Just thought I would share it.   
All scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.

     I have memorized a lot of scripture over the summer.   Here is a verse I just memorized this week.  I think this is a useful verse. 

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man.  God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
