Davis Days

     Recently our friend Davis came to stay with us.  We went up to Knoxville to get him and brought him back to Chattanooga.  He stayed with us for 4 days.   We did a bunch of great things while he was here.  One of the things we did was go to the lake.  (We went about 5 times.)  Another thing we did was we had a picnic at the park.  The park we went to was huge! It is wide open and it has a couple of water fountains to play in.  We had tons of fun together.
        Davis is a special friend of ours.  His whole family is very special to us.  Right now his family is going through a difficult time as his Dad recently was diagnosed with brain cancer.  We are praying for Mr. Mike.  We are asking God to heal Mr. Mike.  All things are possible through God!

Here is a verse my mom gave me that she found while she was praying for the Hearn family....
Psalm 37:39  The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord;
He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.

God IS our stronghold in the time of trouble.  Everything happens for a purpose.  God is always watching over us and He is watching over the Hearn family.

As Larry Boy (veggie tales) says, "God is bigger than the Boogie-man".  God is bigger than cancer!

Word From The Word

Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us , we are his,
we are his people, and and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

  Starbucks has half price frappuccinos from 3 to 5 pm until May 16th
  I recommend the strawberries and creme frappuccino.  They are so good!

An Update!

    Our family has been having a ton of fun in Chattanooga!

 Since the weather has been so nice we have been spending lots of sunny afternoons at the lake.  We also found a GREAT park downtown.  We've been doing some shopping and we are finding out that Chattanooga is a superb place for shopping.   We found a church that we have been enjoying visiting and we've also been doing lots of celebrating.  Last Wednesday we celebrated Cinco De Mayo and on Sunday we celebrated Mother's Day!!

Here are Nic and Olivia enjoying the park
Some beautiful sights around Chattanooga

    For our Cinco De Mayo celebration Ethan and I decorated the kitchen with fiesta decorations.  It looked really cool.  We made little sombreros and made flags of Mexico.  My mom made cheesy chicken enchiladas and sombrero cookies.  (yummy!)
Eli is missing his 2 front teeth now so I thought I would show a picture of him.  He is so cute!

I'm praising and thanking God that this move has gone so well!

Psalm 100:5  For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
