Here's Eli!!!

Here's an update on Eli........

Eli just finshed his basketball season.  He loved it!!!  Eli is really good at sports.  I think his favorite sport is basketball.  Basketball is my favorite sport too. Eli and I have a lot in common and basketball is just one of those things. We love to shoot basketball together in our driveway.

Eli recently celebrated his eighth birthday.  He had a  party with his friend Garrison. They had a huge party at Pump It Up, with 25 friends!!  It was a lot of fun playing in the enormous party area with a boxing ring, and an obstacle course and sliding down a 22 ft slide!  Eli loved his party!!  This was the biggest thing he had ever done to celebrate his birthday.

Eli really is a great kid!  He is also very funny. Mom says Eli  keeps her humble.  I love Eli so much.  He looks up to me as a role model. (Guess I better watch what I say and do!)   I hope he grows up to be a godly man. I want to do all I can to help him.  I thank God for giving me Eli as one of my little brothers!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!
Here are some pictures from our St. Patrick's Day breakfast!
According to the best authorities, St. Patrick was born about A.D. 373.  From the passion of Christ to the death of Patrick there were 436 years.  Traditions of the highest authority attest that he spent sixty years preaching the Gospel to the Scoto-Irish.  By the time of his death he had baptized tens of thousand and established hundreds of churches throughout Ireland.  Within a century this once pagan land became predominately Christian, possessing such a vigorous faith that Ireland in turn sent out missionaries to Scotland, England, France, Germany, and Belgium.  The old saint died in his beloved Ireland, March 17th, about 460 A.D.

Moran Family Fun Night

Every Friday night my family has Moran Family Fun Night. This is my favorite night of the week! What we do differs from week to week. We sometimes stay home and play games, sometimes go out to eat, or go to a friend's house, or have friends to our house. This week we stayed home and played games. We also did our family devotions and ate a wonderful meal. My Dad led the devotions and my Mom cooked the food. I really like family devotions. I learn a lot from these. My Dad reads from the Bible and we listen. (Proverbs 13:1a A wise son hears his father's instruction) Sometimes we read from a special book that my Dad has chosen. Right now we are reading STAND FAST In the Way of Truth by Douglas Bond. I've got a link here on my blog for this book and another one, HOLD FAST In a Broken World. I highly recommend these books. If you want to know more click on the link. My Mom and my sister worked really hard Friday night to prepare a delicious dinner. Olivia loves to cook and she is starting to be a big help to my Mom in the kitchen. She is only 4 years old but she can do a lot. Ethan and Nic and I help cook sometimes too. Ethan helped Mom this week and I usually help when she is baking. We love Family Fun Night because we get to spend time together and that is really important to us. Our family, like most families, is very busy and we all need time together. My Dad's schedule changes often so sometimes we have to get creative about when we will do Family Night but we try to do it every week. I know that my family is a gift from God to me. Later on I am going to write more about each member of my family. For now, I want to close with these verses. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.
Stand Firm!
